this process began when i was making my zine Jewish-SchizoQueer, a sister project. and my experimental splatter film A Farewell to Arms, which i would describe as spiritual gore #0. Bouquet is spiritual gore #1.

i felt emboldened to explore an abjective vision of judaism after my frustration at the severe lack of jewish representation in extreme hororr. like what i really wanted to make was a kind of "jewish nunspoloitation" but i'm not ready to tackle that as a filmmaker just yet. a shockumentary is what i could get away with at this time.

also extreme horror has historically been very male dominated. shockumentary even more so. i wanted to make a shockumentary with a woman's touch, a mother's touch. something that is as soft and as gentle as it is hardcore. and would perhaps be even more hardcore than what the boys could conjure up because of the complete lack of shame that we as women and queer people bring to our art.

and doing those together, a transfemme & jewish shockumentary was just too tempting. i wrote a year ago that "truly no one is prepared for this video" and that is only more true now then when i wrote it

this is also my return to anti-industrial filmmaking. soemthing i like to think about as not anti-capitalist in theme but in process. my running maxim throughout the entirety of this journey was

our hearts calling is beyond property, beyond law. seize the means of cultural production by any means necessary

i will not give any content warnings. i want to challenge you to be brave and step outside of your comfort zone. but also that any way you respond to this video is valid. i trust you to know your limits and do whats best for you. tho please be respectful
